CfGS response to CLG Committee review of its own work since 2010

Responding to the House of Commons’ Communities and Local Government (CLG) Select Committee’s review of its own work since 2010 from CfGS.

Our response is informed by responses and feedback we have gathered from consulting with overview and scrutiny networks and local council scrutiny functions around the country, and by the findings of a recent survey we carried out into barriers to effective local scrutiny, as well as our ten year base of knowledge of howoverview and scrutiny worksin local government in England and Wales.
