Some of the very best examples of high quality scrutiny having an impact in 2013, as reflected in the winners and shortlisted entries in our Good Scrutiny Awards.

2013 marks the tenth anniversary of the Centre for Governance and Scrutiny, and the sixth of our annual Good Scrutiny Awards. Since we were established in 2003, public scrutiny has evolved significantly, but good scrutiny still means having a positive impact on the day-to-day lives of citizens. Scrutineers up and down the country continue to carry out this valuable work with this end in mind, and we have had the honour of recognising the best examples since we established our Awards in 2008.
