CfGS will explain the basics of decision-making, the overall role and functions of scrutiny, and how new councillors can approach their scrutiny work with confidence.

The session will provide participants with an opportunity to ask questions about local authority governance and will signpost those keen to know more onto the significant amount of written, introductory material that CfGS and others have produced.
