With the challenges faced by councils like Croydon and Liverpool on everyone’s minds, and pandemic and financial pressures buffeting the sector, now is the time to reflect on where the biggest risks to governance might lie – and how we can work to mitigate them.
Join us at this webinar on 27 April from 11am-12.30pm to talk to your senior peers about these issues, and to learn about the new governance risk and resilience framework which has been developed to assist you in handling them.
The framework has been developed by CfGS and Localis, and supported by MHCLG, the LGA, CIPFA, Local Partnerships and the law firm Trowers & Hamlins. It is designed to support councils, individual councillors and officers to bring systematic rigour to the way that risks to governance are identified and dealt with as they emerge, and is anchored to the processes underpinning your statutory Annual Governance Statement.
This 90 minute session will explain the framework; its authors will be present explain its use and to answer questions.
