Training and Development Manager

As the Training and Development Manager at the Centre for Governance and Scrutiny, Sarah is driving the continuous improvement and innovation of our training offers.

Sarah built her career in the finance and payments sector with a focus on Learning and Development, and large scale coaching projects driving organisational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives. She has designed and delivered a suite of leadership development interventions for a large payments operations team, resulting in an incremental behaviour change translating to impactful improvements to operational performance.  Sarah has also set the learning agenda to mean numerous client requirements for both technical and skills based learning.  She has a reputation for providing innovative and enjoyable learning solutions which equip people with user friendly tools to apply to their roles.

Although Sarah has spent most of her career in the finance sector, more recently she has run a school mentoring project, at Southend Council in conjunction with local business leaders. She then went on to spend several years as the National Mentoring Manager with The Prince’s Trust, focusing on securing work for young people in Health and Social Care.

Sarah is a CIPD qualified Learning and Development practitioner,  and her enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and belief in the value of training bring a strong offer to CfGS.
