Tony Jackson

Tony Jackson is an accredited Member peer and has undertaken many Corporate Peer Challenges and facilitated workshop modules as part of the LGA’s sector led improvement offer.

Tony served as a councillor between 1999 and 2017, throughout that time he was Leader of East Herts Council and served as a cabinet member for several portfolios.

Tony was previously a board member of Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Council and sat on the LEP’s Project Programme board, the Visitor Economy Partnership board and was the Hertfordshire ESIF Chairman. He was a Trustee board member of a hospice in Hertfordshire.

He has also been a board member of the Local Government Information Unit (LGiU) and was a past Chairman of the East of England LGA (EELGA).
