Roundtable event to explore the changes to Inspecting Local Authority Children’s Services (ILACS) and how Scrutiny can meaningfully add value to the process

March 24, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Free

Join us on 24th March at 1:00 pm for a roundtable event to explore the changes to Inspecting local authority children’s services (ILACS) and how Scrutiny can meaningfully add value to the process. We will be hearing from Ofsted as well as examples of local authorities who have navigated the inspection process.

We encourage participants to share their experiences as part of the discussion, both those Authorities who have had a positive inspection result and how Scrutiny contributed to it and tangible impacts from Councillors and those Authorities who had a negative inspection result and how Scrutiny engaged. We will be discussing this at the roundtable, but if you have any examples that you’d like to share beforehand, please do email us at info@cfgs.org.uk with the subject line ‘ILACS example’ and we can discuss these during the roundtable.

The event will be online via Teams and is free to attend. Camilla de Bernhardt Lane will be hosting the event and will be joined by Jeremy Gleaden (Ofsted) and Ed Hammond (CfGS).
