This session will support members and officers working in current, and prospective, combined authorities to understand the governance landscape for CAs. It will cover:

• The existing devolution framework;
• An overview of the changed systems put in place by the Autumn Statement (tbc);
• Discussion on the content and impact of the English Devolution Accountability Framework and the Scrutiny Protocol;
• The challenges and opportunities that the Government’s approach to devolution brings to governance at local, and sub-regional, level.
