The Welsh Government published a Green Paper on local government in March.
The main thrust of the Green Paper was to lay out WG’s plans to reorganise local government in Wales with the creation of fewer, larger authorities. The Green Paper goes into more detail about the mechanics of this change, including issues around transition and capacity support to the sector.
