CfGS health scrutiny conference – a great success
Anatomy of Accountability – national health scrutiny conference – 27 June 2017

The Centre for Governance and Scrutiny, in partnership with the NHS, hosted a well attended and engaging national conference focusing on the most important issues facing health, social care and accountability. With more than 100 attendees the event saw a range of high profile national speakers explaining the need for reform (the many well documented pressures facing health services) and equally highlighting some of the accountability risks associated with wide-scale change.
There was broad consensus from across the panels, workshops and delegates that local government is key to helping keep people healthy and a vital role to play in scrutinising services which support people when they are not well or need additional help.
We were delighted with the turn-out and participation from the day and a big thank you to all the delegates that attended and the speakers and facilitators for their contribution.
